The theme of travel expenses for an acquittal in a foreign court is already clear. As an official defense my travel costs and absence of money is paid. Logical. In an elective office as well. But if there is an acquittal and may carry the state treasury the cost (and cost me the refund claims were assigned so that I can make direct claims), the travel costs and absence of money is not refunded. The law is well known to me. But can someone explain the background to make sense? I mean, I never know in advance whether there will be an acquittal. And why will I be "worse" position than in an election mandate with a conviction or prosecuted ex officio defense?
I can think of the solution was just not. Only the opposition ... .
